CURIA is the name of the European Court of Justice website. OPOCE is the Office for the Official Publications of the European Union.

For the Court of Jutice/OPOCE, Dixite developped an Open Source based indexation and search engine for the publication of incremental monthly case laws publications on CD-ROM. The Court of Justice requested the addition of a number of user-centric functionalities in order to:

  • integrate PDF file format within the CD-ROM;
  • develop a powerfull syntax for plain text researches;
  • keywords highlight and navigation mechanisms;
  • add functionalities in order to improve user experience with the CD-ROM;
  • ensure that full-year documents and application will fit within a single CD-ROM;
  • define and implement a powerfull search syntax;
  • ensure search results exactitude;
  • ensure support by most off-the-shelf browsers.

Dixite performed AfterCare services for the CURIA change requests.

Within a revised version of the URD, Dixite collected the new technical system requirements and defined a complete search syntax using EBNF. All the development cycle was performed using RUP.
